Welcoming in 2008

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year.

Still no baby yet. Went to the hospital on Saturday night due to contractions every 4 minutes. After 4 hour and no process they sent me home still having contractions. I am still having them on and off during the day and night. Hopefully we will have the baby by the end of the week. I go back to the doctor on Jan. 2. So lets all keep our fingers crossed that I have made some improvement so maybe the doctor will help me along. We'll see.

Doctor Visit 12/26

Went to the doctors today. Baby looks great and had gained some weight. But he still thinks that he will be a small guy. Have dilated some more I am about 1 to 2 cm. He says that I can go at anytime. If I have not gone by Jan. 3rd will have a game plan of date to induce or set up the C-Section. All that will be decided next week. When we do go into labor we will post throughout the labor to keep everyone up to date. Talk to everyone later.

Owen's Room

We just finished setting up Owen's room this evening. It's about time I guess. Nothing like waiting until the last minute, right? Anyway, some of you have seen this already in various states of completion, but here's the finished product...

Doctor Visit 12/18

Saw the doctor yesterday. I am just starting to dilate. Baby heart rate looked great. He says I can go anytime and he will not stop my labor. But he wants me to go a least one more week. So sometime after Christmas. Can't wait since I am in so much pain that at times is unbearable. I will see the doctor again next week. Merry Christmas.

Okay, here is the first Goewert's post. I have decided to create a blog for family members who live out of town. This way we can all stay in touch. Plus, everyone can see the latest addition to the family due to arrive sometime after Christmas.
